Description

Seeking a Director of Business Development with sales experience in the passenger rail/transit industry, and understanding of grants and publicly funded transit agencies. This person will expand opportunities of R&D/Testing services related to train control & communications at TTCI.

  • If office based – location can be Washington DC or Pueblo Colorado.
  • If remote – location can be either Boston or New York.
  • This position requires travel (50% or more) – both domestic and international.
Responsibilities
  • Expand TTCI’s market share in the passenger rail, transit, and government sectors.
  • Develop and implement strategic business development strategies, in alignment with company vision, mission and corporate strategies.
  • Participate in strategic planning process related to new products, services, and customers.
  • Navigate external threats and opportunities in pursuit of revenue and technical goals.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders in assigned market segments to ensure customer satisfaction and leverage new business opportunities.
  • Provide input on proposals through clear articulation and translation of client goals.
  • Provide accurate revenue forecasting and insight on new business opportunities.
  • Coordinate proposal preparation through multidisciplinary technical, financial and risk management teams, with attention to profitability, planning and feasibility.
  • Be a highly visible spokesperson at industry meetings, trade shows, and conferences.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years of technical sales and business development experience within North America government and passenger rail sectors
  • Successful business development experience in the railroad industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, create, pursue, and close sales opportunities.
  • Strong program management, planning, prioritizing, and execution skills.
  • Ability to create effective technical content and communicate technical information to a variety of audiences.
